My name is Mindi Barney. As a Carolina native, I've spent most of my life in the Triad of North Carolina. However, after 6+ years of dreaming, and drawn by the allures of the low country, our family moved to Mt. Pleasant, SC in 2016. All 3 of our children were/are scholar athletes and, more importantly, are making a positive contribution to their schools and community. Isaac(22) is now married to Kaitlyn and he is a territory sales manager for Chadwell Supply. Katie-Grace (18) is a senior at Wando High School ; Carter (16) is a sophomore at Oceanside Colligate Academy. With regards to my studies and professional career, I earned my Bachelors degree in Interior Design from Appalachian State University. My first job involved studio set design, but I took a 16-year leave of absence to be a homemaker and focus on raising our 3 children. Soon after moving to Mt. Pleasant, I could think of no greater career restart than helping others, who share the same love of the low country as me, in their pursuit to “ Call Charleston Home.” After obtaining my Real Estate License, I soon realized the need that many sellers had for home staging services. With an Interior Design degree, and a natural eye for consumer decorating trends, I knew this was a chance to combine my creative skills with my real estate knowledge to create a more value-added experience for home buyers and sellers. Amanda and her family purchased their Wild Dunes residence in 2005 as a second home. They spent many years traveling from Charlotte, NC for long weekends and vacations. After raising kids and corporate life, she and her husband transitioned the "beach house” into their permanent residence in 2020. After undergrad in Boston, MA and master’s program at Vanderbilt, she spent a tremendous amount of time traveling the world. She is able to share her love of coming home to the low country with others that are considering making this paradise their home.
